David and I went to Northwestern together. I remember running into him on campus about 4 weeks after we arrived... short David was walking with 6 hulking guys, all joking and laughing together. He said "Carol, these are my new brothers!" - he had joined a frat. He looked so happy and excited to be starting this new chapter in his life. I know he went on to be a husband, father and distinguished attorney, very well respected, very adult. But, I prefer to remember him as that college freshman, so excited about all that lay ahead.
David left a heartful imprint on many of us at Shaker. I am so glad Carol saw him happy at Northwestern, glad he married, and very glad he lived. He is always remembered, as are all of those from our student body who have passed this physical form. May their love live forever. This we know.
